Find Kendall Release Mugshots

A mugshot of a released Kendall County inmate may remain in an official booking record after the person leaves custody. The strongest recent source is the sheriff’s released roster, while an older Kendall County booking photo usually requires a written records request. State-prison photographs follow a different TDCJ process. News reports and third-party copies may also exist, but they can be stale or detached from the case result. This resource identifies official photo channels rather than hosting a gallery. A booking image records an arrest event. It does not establish guilt, a conviction, or present custody.

Kendall Release Mugshot Records

A booking photograph is made during intake and belongs to that booking record. KCSO publishes adult booking photos on its current roster and rolling 48-hour released roster, which shows the county’s present publication practice. Texas law does not create a single promise that every mugshot in every posture must be public. An active investigation, expunction, juvenile status, privacy, or safety rule may restrict access.

Release does not erase the image by itself. It also does not make the charge a conviction. The jail transaction, charging record, and final court disposition answer separate questions. After the rolling roster entry expires, use the booking number and case information to seek the original record rather than relying on an old copy.

Where Kendall Release Photos Appear

Use the source tied to the custody event. A KCDC image and a TDCJ institutional photo are different records. IVSS may help track an event, but the research did not establish it as Kendall’s lasting photo archive. No official Kendall County, Texas sheriff jail-information app was identified.

Kendall Release Roster Photos

The official KCSO released roster displays a photograph, name, SO number, booking number, release date, booking date and time, charges, bond information, agency, and profile link. It covers a rolling 48 hours, not a permanent archive. A displayed release date confirms exit from that booking only. It does not prove why the person left or exclude a transfer to another custodian.

The roster page attempts a browser reload every five minutes, but KCSO does not promise that its source database updates on that exact cycle. No separate official 24-hour photo feed exists. For a same-day view, use the resolved Kendall jail releases page with the roster’s actual limits in mind.

The KCSO source view is represented in this captured image.

Request a Kendall Booking Photo

KCSO directs older photo requests to its Open Record Request page. Requests must be written. KCSO says approved information is generally available in one to seven days and a denial notice is provided within ten days. It posts no universal photo fee, so request an estimate rather than assuming a free copy. Open-investigation material may be withheld.

  1. Record the full name, SO number, booking number, approximate booking date, and cause number if known.
  2. Ask for the booking sheet and booking photograph tied to that specific event.
  3. Choose electronic copies and request an itemized estimate before a stated cost threshold.
  4. Email the completed written request to kcsoemail@co.kendall.tx.us as KCSO directs.
  5. Compare the returned image and identifiers with the court record, then keep any redaction or denial explanation.

Government Code Chapter 552 requires prompt handling within a reasonable time, not universal delivery within ten business days. Section 552.108 can protect some law-enforcement information, while subsection (c) preserves basic information about an arrested person, arrest, or crime.

Kendall News and Photo Copies

KCSO’s official press-release page may include a photo for a selected investigation or public notice. It is not a systematic release feed. Social posts are also selective. Search the sheriff source first, then use the case record to determine what happened after the arrest.

Commercial aggregators and news archives may preserve copies after the official rolling roster changes. They receive no presumption of freshness or completeness. Do not pay a removal service based on a claim that it controls the government record. Correction and removal should start with the publisher and the official order or corrected source record.

Kendall Expunction and Photo Removal

Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55A controls expunction. A final order can prohibit release, maintenance, dissemination, or use of covered records, subject to that chapter. Nondisclosure under Government Code Chapter 411 is different: it restricts public criminal-history disclosure without necessarily destroying every record or binding each authorized recipient. A vanished photo should be described only as not publicly located.

Kendall’s local expunction procedure requires care because four justices of the peace rotate magistration work. A KCSO arrest petition should identify the right magistrate so the full arrest file can be reached. The local agency list includes the District Clerk, Criminal District Attorney, KCSO including the jail, and County Clerk. This procedure does not establish eligibility.

Public-record limit. This private resource is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. Mugshot information may not be used for any FCRA-covered purpose, and every image and status should be verified with the originating office.

Kendall Mugshot Disclosure Limits

Texas Attorney General Open Records Decision 616 supports disclosure of a mugshot tied to an arrest that resulted in conviction and was no longer an active investigation. It does not hold that each photograph in every case posture is always public. TDCJ’s routine offender-information email expressly excludes photographs, while Parole Division policy treats a CID photograph as potentially releasable through formal public-information review.

Business & Commerce Code Chapter 109 regulates certain businesses that publish criminal-record information. Its accuracy, correction, and removal provisions include rules tied to expunction and nondisclosure and restrictions on charging significant consideration for correction or removal. It is not a blanket ban on publishing mugshots, and news media and other categories have statutory exclusions.
